These terms cover your use of our website (simplymedicineok.com), our patient portal, our video visits, and our text messages. By using any of them, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
Who we are
Simply Medicine (Simply Medicine OK) is a cash-pay telemedicine practice operated by Jeffrey L. Halford PLLC. We provide video visits with Oklahoma-licensed clinicians for patients who are physically located in Oklahoma at the time of their visit.
Using our services
When you use our website, portal, or visits, you agree to:
- Give us accurate, complete information about yourself and your health, including your medications and history.
- Be physically located in Oklahoma during every video visit.
- Use our services only as described on our site. Visits are for adults and teens; if you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms for you.
- Treat our clinicians and staff with respect. We may end a visit or decline future care in cases of abuse, threats, or harassment.
- Not misuse the website or patient portal, including trying to access other people’s information, interfering with the site, or using someone else’s identity.
- Not make false or fraudulent requests for medications, including controlled substances.
What telemedicine can and can’t do
- We are not emergency care. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use the website, portal, or text messages for emergencies.
- Video visits have limits. Some problems need a hands-on exam, testing, or imaging. If your clinician decides that is the case, we’ll tell you and point you toward in-person care.
- A visit does not guarantee a prescription, a specific medication, or a particular treatment. Those decisions are made by your clinician based on their medical judgment.
- Prescriptions, when appropriate, are sent to the pharmacy you choose. Pharmacy prices and availability are up to the pharmacy.
- The articles and information on our website are general information, not medical advice for your situation.
- Browsing our website, filling out a lead form, or exchanging text messages with us does not by itself create a doctor-patient relationship. That starts when you complete a visit with one of our clinicians.
- Scheduling, intake forms, and clinical messages go through our patient portal (SimplePractice). Please keep health details in the portal, not in texts or lead forms.
Payment
We are a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance. A video visit is $49 flat. Labs, imaging, medications, and any outside services are billed separately by whoever provides them.
Privacy
How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Your medical records are kept in our patient portal and practice systems.
SMS / Text Message Terms
Program: Simply Medicine text messages, sent from our texting number 918-992-2938.
- What the texts are about: your appointment requests — for example, following up when we can’t reach you by phone, coordinating a visit time, and appointment confirmations and reminders. We do not send marketing texts.
- How you opt in: by giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts (for example on our Facebook lead form), or by texting us first.
- Message frequency varies based on your request.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You’ll get one confirmation text and no further messages unless you reply START.
- Reply HELP for help, or call or text 918-992-2938.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying any service.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
- Please don’t text us medical emergencies or detailed health information. For emergencies, call 911.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
Our website and portal are provided “as is.” We work to keep them accurate and available, but we don’t promise they will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Simply Medicine and Jeffrey L. Halford PLLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website, portal, or text messages. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited under Oklahoma law, including our professional obligations to you as a patient.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. Using our services after an update means you accept the updated terms.
